Amateur Radio (G3TXQ) - LP100
The LP-100 is a recent and very welcome addition to the G3TXQ shack. Designed and produced by Larry Phipps N8LP it provides a number of unique features not seen before in a Ham Radio wattmeter:

- Power & SWR - 50mW to 2500W Autoranging
- R+jX, Z, Phase
- 1.8-54 MHz... band-by-band power correction
- Built-in frequency counter
- Professional dBm/RL scale with 0.1 dB steps
- Direct input -15 to +33dBm for lab work
- SWR alarm w/PTT disable
- Serial remote control w/Windows software
- Flash upgradeable
- Kit or assembled
- FCC Part 15 A & B compliant

Larry can supply complete units or kits. I purchased one of the kits and it took just 8 hours to build and calibrate to laboratory accuracy. Key to the accuracy of the instrument is the design of the directional coupler which can be located remotely from the display unit. The display unit provides band-by-band corrections for phase and amplitude, improving still further on the inherent accuracy of the coupler. Take a look at Larry's website for more details.
